Support Groups at Grace United

At Grace United, we offer a variety of support groups for the members of the church that may need it. All are welcome, so please look below to see if we can be of help to you and your family.

Grief Groups

Various grief groups are offered at Grace UMC for those who have special needs, have lost loved ones or need special assistance with coping. Scripturally based discussion, guidance, support and love are components of these groups. Being totally confidential, the grief can be wide-scoped and involve not only spouses, but relatives and friends. The groups meet bi-monthly and prove to be rewarding for those reaching out for assistance.

Young Adults Support Group

This group is comprised of young adults ranging in age from 18 to 30. Being scripturally based, discussion, guiding, support and love are components. Bonding takes place because each young adult experiences the same pain but in different ways. Groups involve time for devotion, reading of the scriptures, and curriculum. Time is also set aside for social events which take place at least once a month.

Singles and Divorcee Support Group

This is comprised of adults ranging in age from 30-45. Being scripturally based, its major focus is on the pain experienced while going through separation, divorce, and the trauma after divorce. There is also emphasis on singles who are having difficulty with relationships, day-to-day living, and painful trauma.

30's Plus Support Group

This group is comprised of adults ranging in age from 30-50. Scripturally based, discussion, guidance, support and love are components of this group. The group includes time for devotion, reading of the scriptures, study, and curriculum. Time is set aside for social events to take place at least once a month. A favorite scripture will be discussed each meeting and a social event will be planned for each month. One person will present and facilitate the discussion. Come for a wonderful spiritual experience.

New 55's Plus Group

A favorite scripture will be discussed each meeting and a social event will be planned for each month. One person facilitates the group in discussion. Come for a wonderful spiritual and learning experience.
