GUMY (Grace United Methodist Youth)

Sunday evening GUMY normally begins with Celebrate the Spirit worship at 5:30, followed by our meal about 6:15 and then activities until 8 or 8:15. (If Spirit is discontinued, we go back to a 6 p.m. start!!) Remember, however, there will be lots of special events that will take us from this schedule. On District Youth Worship weeks we will meet at GUMC at 5 p.m. and eat on the way. Remember: Grace Sunday worship is at 9 or 11:15 a.m. and Sunday school is at 10:15 EACH WEEK!

April

• 6 – Rockies game? (1:05, AZ Diamondbacks, or 5/18 or 5/25)
• District youth @ St. Luke’s UMC
• 11-12 (Fri-Sat) – Planet Wisdom Tour
• 13 – Mission Trip planning & game night
• 19-20 (Sat-Sun) – Lock-in; Details TBA
• 27 – Service project TBA

May

• 4 – DISTRICT YOUTH @ GRACE UMC 6 p.m. WE LEAD WORSHIP!
• 11 – Mother’s Day – Youth Lead worship??
• 17-18 (Sat.-Sun.) – 30-hour famine (Lock-in), followed by bowling
• 25 – Rockies game?

June

• May 31 – June 1 – Family camping.
• 8 – End of year swim party (unless we’re on Mission Trip; then it will be 15th)
• 15 – Last “regular” GUMY until Sept. Summer opportunities TBA.
• 18-21 (Wed-Sat) – Rocky Mountain Annual Conference Session

July/August

• Sunday, Aug. 10 – Faith Day at Coors Field

(There will be events with other churches each week during the summer!)

Rocky Mountain United Methodist Youth

United Methodist young people will have opportunities, beginning in 2006, to participate in mission trips to Zimbabwe, the Philippines, Alaska, Costa Rica and Chile. The Youth groups also attend several district United Methodist Church Events and Camps.
